Personal Biography:

Dr Kanyanya is a Senior Psychiatrist at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) where he has worked for 26 years and rose through the ranks to his current position as the Head of Department of Mental Health Services in the Hospital. KNH is the largest regional hospital which also serves as the teaching hospital for the University of Nairobi medical school and other universities around. KNH is the Nairobi MARBAR study site. As the head of department Dr Kanyanya supervises and mentors both staff and students. He has vast experience in the management of mental health disorders.
